Our Process
From Log to Usable White Oak

STEP 01
Log Selection
We focus on high-quality White Oak logs suited for Rift, Quartersawn, Plainsawn, and appearance-grade production.

STEP 02
Sawing
Our production is built around maximizing the value of the log while targeting the grain, color, and widths our customers need.

STEP 03
Kiln Drying
We kiln dry our lumber with care to protect the value of the White Oak and reduce degrade.

STEP 04
Straight-Line Ripping
For Parallel Edge programs, we rip after kiln drying to remove sidebend and create a cleaner, more usable edge.

STEP 05
Net Tally
Our Parallel Edge material is tallied net after ripping, giving customers a more accurate measure of usable lumber.

STEP 06
Shipping
We ship White Oak programs to customers who need dependable material for production.
